In a previous Post entitled "Official data on Total Mortality in 2020 by countries - Long-Term Perspective" we pointed out the official data found for total mortality in 2020 for 17 countries, this data was inserted in the data series from 1960-2020 and we obtained long-term total mortality graphs for each country analyzed.
In this Post we are going to analyze, or rather graph the Mortality results obtained for each country between 1960 and 2020, but in a comparative way between countries with a more or less similar population size. This grouping by size will help to analyze similar countries graphically.
As the second part of the Post we will find the Mortality Rate (x 1000 inhabitants) for each country taking into account its annual populations since 1960. The annual population of each country can be found on the web www.macrotrends.net. Taking the total mortality for a year and its population at the beginning of that year, we can calculate the Mortality Rate (x1000 inhab) for each country and year.
With this, we will proceed to jointly graph the Mortality Rate of the countries between 1960 and 2020 of each group, so that we can compare them with each other, their evolution and their relationship with Total Mortality itself.
Once the prolegomena are over, let's get started! We are going to make 4 groups of countries with similar populations in number of inhabitants or close:
